The unit flew at 3.2 m above the deck with the lowest element tilted 15 degrees down; that angle kept coverage even at the edges when a presenter walked the full width. Temporary stages often see last-minute repositioning. The MA600D placement stayed fixed once flown, reducing the chance of a cable snag at 2 a.m. during strike.
Power and Network Verification Before
the first session, the crew ran a 10-minute
Dante flow test at 48 kHz. Packet loss stayed under 0.01 percent on the house switch, so the array passed to the show team without further adjustment. The same test also confirmed the PoE port supplied 12.4 W steady state, leaving margin on the 30 W injector.
Classroom Ceiling Option The new
MC04 ceiling microphone targets rooms that cannot spare rack space for a processor. It mounts directly to standard grid tile and pulls power over the same cable that carries audio. In a retrofit classroom the only additional run is a single Cat cable back to the nearest switch. That matters when channel counts climb and existing conduit is already full. The array uses a single RJ45 on the back plate, so the tile cutout stays small and the grid remains intact.
Tracking Box and Platform The
MT200 box was shown handling camera switching without preset positions. It sits in the same rack as the switcher and reads mic activity to decide which feed goes live. The accompanying management platform lets a tech monitor device status and push firmware from one screen. Batch upgrades across multiple rooms become a single task instead of walking each location with a laptop.
What Actually Gets Touched During the demo room walkthrough the MC10 and
MC08 table arrays were shown side by side with the ceiling unit. All three share the same network port layout, so a spare array pulled from one room can drop into another without connector changes. One installer noted the value of testing the management platform on a spare machine first. Firmware pushes that look clean in a demo can still lock a device if the network segment drops mid-cycle.
What Holds Up in the Field For worship or corporate rooms
that already have ceiling conduit, the MC04 removes the need for a dedicated DSP chassis and its associated power circuit. Pull one Cat run, mount the array, and confirm network reachability before the next service. Keep the MT200 on a short list for hybrid rooms where camera switching must happen without an operator at the switcher. The same network test used on the stage array applies here: run the Dante check once, then move on.
