As a result of a promotion within and our continued growth, a Buffalo, NY book publisher seeks a new Production Editor for its Library Book group.
Qualified applicants must have a minimum of 6 months of publishing experience working with book layout. Must be Mac-literate and extremely proficient in InDesign. This is not a design position (no designing required), but you will need good working knowledge and understanding of layout and type, along with a thorough knowledge of print production. Copy editing and proofreading skills a plus.
This position requires editorial changes to layout, plus additional page making. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented and able to work on many books simultaneously within a very tight schedule in a fast-paced environment.
