About South Central AV
South Central traces its history to an 1860s-era house overlooking a bend in the Ohio River at Evansville, IN where the Engelbrecht family started then-named South Central Broadcasting on June 3rd 1946 with a single radio station.
With some modest success in radio and creative financing they entered both television broadcasting in the 1950’s and the Muzak franchise system in the 1960’s. South Central emerged as a leading Muzak (now Mood Media) franchise over the next few decades by providing a state-of-the-art music service and reliable customer service and technical support throughout the Midwest and southeast. Having expanded our reach to include multiple offices in more than a dozen cities around the country, SCAV became the largest independent affiliate of Mood Media in the country. As a 3rd generation-run company, South Central A\V continues to build our reputation on remarkable service and unmatched expertise. We now feature a multitude of offerings including music, sound systems, digital signage, major audiovisual systems, high-tech conference rooms and more to businesses of all sizes across many industries
Matt and his family currently reside in the Washington, D.C metro area.
