To be part of the JAMA Network is to be part of our Mission to promote the science and art of medicine and the betterment of public health. Join the JAMA team as a Recruitment Sales Representative. As part of the team, you will grow advertising revenue by developing in-bound leads and closing transactional sales in the Physician Recruitment category. You will also collaborate on new business development strategies for out-bound sales generation within the Recruitment category. You will identify opportunities for long-term customer relationships for further development by appropriate team segment. As a Recruitment Sales Representative you will identify contacts, build relationships with decision makers, and influence their perceived value of the JAMA Network Recruitment Advertising offerings across print and digital.


Grow, maintain, and close opportunities within the Recruitment Category pipeline

Utilize out-bound sales techniques to identify, acquire and close New Business opportunities focused on Physician Recruitment.
Identify and pursue influential contacts in assigned recruitment segment and targeted accounts through transactional sales advocating the business value of the JAMA Career Center.
Build relationships with contacts, close sales and hit revenue goals through upgrades, bundle packages and upsell opportunities meeting customers’ needs
Focus on incremental growth within existing accounts and in the staffing firm, legal organization or single use direct health system relationship
Develop and execute account plans, including planning for effective selling conversations and identifying accounts for further development by the appropriate team segment
Track and grow yearly goal targets by maximizing In-Bound Recruitment lead pipeline

Track phone, email and other in-bound lead lines to ensure that all opportunities are captured and given the appropriate package to fulfill their recruitment needs
Address customers’ objections and close sales, and positioning clients for post-sale success leading to repeat business
Identify upsell opportunities through the JAMA Career Center self-service portal for rep assisted contact
Identify opportunities for consultative long-term account growth across Health Systems brand advertising or advanced Recruitment needs to funnel to appropriate team segment
Monitor the sales cycle and customer feedback

Inform sales leaders of pipeline status and ensure all contacts and opportunities are properly tracked
Support analysis of growth opportunities and postmortems of lost deals as requested
Manage the JAMA Career Center conference booth at Physician level conferences

Develop relationships with Physician job seekers to increase the perceived value of the JAMA Career Center and our brand
Identify leads within Health Systems and Recruitment and funnel to the appropriate team segment
May include other responsibilities as assigned.


Bachelor’s degree required, a business-related discipline preferred
3+ years of business-to-business sales or business development experience, advertising or recruitment sales preferred
Able to articulate business value of products and services to potential customers and identify and address common objections
Proven ability to identify new contacts in leadership, set meetings, and identify sales opportunities
Proven ability to work with digital systems and CRM to track and maximize all opportunities
Proven integrity when representing the organization to potential clients, accurately representing client needs to sales leadership and clearly articulating features and terms to client contacts,
Up to 30% travel required, primarily to represent the JAMA Career Center at physician conferences and visit clients
