The newest line of Samsung’s portable SSD T5 solid state drives are delivering amazing speeds of close to 5 times that of external HDD products out on the market today. The T5 is built around Samsung’s latest 64-layer V-NAND technology, delivering incredible transfer speeds of encrypted data security in the physical size of a business card (it’s smaller to be exact). The drives have zero moving parts and the unit is totally shock-resistant (up to 2 meters or 6.6ft). The unit is fully capable of receiving the latest firmware and software update based on the AES 256-bit hardware data encryption which can be utilized through PC’s or Mac’s (format preference up to the user). NOTE: Software requires Windows 7, Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks), Android 4.4 (KitKat), or higher. Older versions of the Windows, Mac, and Android operating systems may not be supported. Firmware update requires PC or Mac connection.

“The Samsung Portable SSD T5 is an evolved version of the very popular T3. The T5 has increased transfer speeds and more connectivity options, all in a smaller, highly portable drive, which is ideal for on-the-go broadcast professionals,” said Rich Leonarz, Samsung’s director of marketing for memory and storage. “We’re excited for more business users to experience the increased efficiency and productivity of the T5.”

In the box, your choice of USB-C to C and USB-C to A cables offering you the convenience to access devices. In the future we just may see Thunderbolt 3 enter the ring, but that is to be determined and finalized later. The aluminum exterior comes in two distinct metal finishes – Deep Black (1TB and 2TB models) and Alluring Blue (250GB and 500GB models). As mentioned above, the SSD T5 measures in at 74 x 57.3 x 10.5 millimeters (3.0 x 2.3 x 0.4 inches) and the unit comes with an awesome three-year limited warranty. The T5 comes with embedded user software that allows both PC or Mac users to easily set passwords and latest firmware updates. Also, there is a mobile app for Android smartphones and tablets.

The SSD T5 is designed to provide instant access to your files quickly and efficiently. The files can be documents, power points presentations, large sized photos or videos up to 4K resolution. Also, the SSD T5 has been demoed with premier studios in NYC and reliably provided full song multi track and with full plug-ins of 256 tracks with DSP real time play back running straight off the drive with zero “hiccups”. At no surprise, the marketplace is showing a very strong #1 market share report and

customer/user experience. The Samsung T5-slim pocket external SSD with no moving parts is price based at US MSRP $129.99 250G and $749.99 for 2TB.

The Samsung SSD T5 is certainly an item that needs to be in your arsenal of mobile reliable drives, which can provide instant access to all of your media material and still be able to fit in your pocket with ease. Highly recommended to any type of user, from consumer to professional.
