Sales Assistant/Marketing Coordinator (Chicago-based)

General Job Description:

Weigel Broadcasting, home of CW 26, WMEU,”The U”, and MeTV FM WRME Radio has an immediate opening for a Sales Assistant/Marketing Coordinator. You will be responsible for assisting the Sales Managers and Account Executives in creating, booking, scheduling and maintenance of sales activities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assisting with weekly newsletters, contests, and social media.

Presentation creation using power point and excel

Solid writing experience

Processing of sales orders in a timely manner.

Maintenance of orders (make goods, changes, and filing).

Coordination of all maintenance with clients via phone, email, or fax.

Assists in the flow of information to clients (e.g., rate changes, inventory updates, etc.)

Backs up other sales assistants when necessary

Available evenings and weekends for on premise events.

Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for job, if not currently employed by Weigel Broadcasting Co.

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree preferred

Wide Orbit Traffic experience a plus

Some nights/weekend work required with additional compensation

Previous TV or Radio experience a plus.

Candidates must have MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel experience.

Must be able to deal with deadline pressure.

Strong Written, verbal, negotiation and communication skills.

Excellent computer skills are a must.
