It would be an understatement to say that the smart home industry has made living easier with the implementation of smart homes. Technologically advantageous gadgets such as the Amazon Cloud Cam Security Camera or the Echo Dot voice controlled smart speaker are clear cut examples of the integrated technology that has worked well to make living easier and even safer for the people living in smart tech homes. Being part of the home technology industry, CEDIA has provided many solid work opportunities for technology experts who specialize in implementing smart home technology into an industry that continues to grow as do the opportunities to learn greater solutions. With CEDIA Expo 2019 right around the corner, tech professionals of numerous backgrounds such as AV Beat, Stereotypes, and IntelligentDesign can attend an event where they can gather multiple and unique insights as to how they can apply greater technology solutions and gain a sufficient amount of technological expertise.
CEDIA Expo 2019 will take place from September 10-14 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado. Here, over 20,000 tech pros and more than 500 exhibitors will be able to convene and gain greater access to unique products, as well as training designed to implement greater tech integration into the connection of smart homes, and this can be accomplished by checking out some of the educational hot topics, which include courses focusing on:
- The Art of the Home Theater
- LED Lighting
- Network Security
- Audio/Video Over IP Infrastructure
- Health and Wellness in the Home
The Art of the Home Theater
If veteran integrators were looking to up the ante on the already booming home cinema industry, then they can certainly find that within several courses like, “The CEDIA Home Cinema Design Masterclass,” which will feature guest speakers such as Imaging Science Foundation founder Joel Silver, Grimani Systems President Anthony Grimani, and TK Theaters and RAYVA founder Theo Kalomirakis as guest speakers. These highly creative men will help provide an in-depth examination of several high-level topics for veteran integrators. Also included is the “Becoming Cinema Sommelier,” which will focus on the unique position the high-end private cinema industry finds itself in and what opportunities it presents for home tech professionals who wish to incorporate their innovative integration skills into the constantly evolving home cinema industry.
“The CEDIA Home Cinema Design Masterclass” will be held in Room: 112, Wednesday, September 11 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, while “Becoming Cinema Sommelier” will be held in Room: 108, Wednesday, September 11 from 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM.
From sources to controls — LED technology is changing and gaining prominence at a rapid pace, and with courses like the “Fundamentals of Control Systems,” which will focus on the areas of user interfaces, while emphasizing a greater understanding on how to assist designers meet the more common and complex tasks of their current and future clients. Additional LED lighting courses will center on the areas of user experience and the potential impact of DirectLED and microLED display systems.
The “Fundamentals of Control Systems” will be held in Room: 706, Friday, September 13 from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM.
The more the digital environment continues to grow at a progressive rate, then so does the need for integrators and professionals in related fields who know how to put residential networks on lockdown. Several of the network security courses will include “Properly Securing a Residential Network: Methods and Best Practices” and “Remote System Access: Methods, Security and Best Practices Learning Lab,” which will work well to build the abilities of the attendees in what is the complicated but efficient world of network security, which needs hands on experienced integrators and professionals who are more than simply book smart when it comes to tech implementation.
Both courses will be held in room 709/711, Wednesday, September 11, with”Best Practices Learning Lab” taking place from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, and “Methods and Best practices” from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
