We are looking to add a part-time/temporary Video Editor to join our small team. We are looking for someone that’s dedicated, passionate, hard-working, has great attention to detail, and a great attitude! Customer service is our number one principle, so the ability to work with and address the needs of all types of customers is key. The ability to learn and adapt quickly is also important, as well as problem solving skills.

You will be expected to hit the ground running from the start. Applicants must have extensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere, as we do not have time to train you. You must have a good work ethic, efficient and established work flow, and be able to edit at a good pace while still paying attention to detail.

This job will start as a part time position at $15/hr. Hours will depend on the number of projects occurring and how much work we have. This is a temporary position and not guaranteed to continue for any specified length of time. A qualified part time employee who is shown to be value added to the company may (but there are no guarantees) eventually be offered a full time position with the pay of $2,800/month + a percentage from any projects/clients that you bring in.

The ability to provide your own PC/Mac for editing is a plus, though not a requirement.

Only applicants with extensive experience with Adobe Premiere and the rest of the Adobe Creative Cloud will be considered. We will test you on your knowledge and experience and if you cannot pass the test, you will not be considered.

Applicants must also have experience with corporate/commercial editing and must be able to demonstrate it with your portfolio. Purely creative projects will not be looked at.

Responsibilities and Duties

Edit videos on Adobe Premiere. Must understand workflow and be able to produce edited drafts in a timely manner.

Interface with clients – mainly by email. Understanding clients’ needs and being able to address them is key. Great customer service skills are important.

Work within a larger team to assist during a larger production.

Learn! This is a job that requires constant learning and the absorption of new knowledge.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience with Adobe Premiere (sorry, no Final Cut Pro X) is a must.

Experience with corporate/commercial editing is a must.

Experience with motion graphics and color grading is a must.

Customer service skills and ability to get along with different types of people is a must.

Understanding of lighting, audio, and technical aspects of videography/video cameras is a huge plus.

Familiarity with raw video workflow is a huge plus.

Experience with Canon cinema cameras is a plus.

Experience with 3D graphics, special effects rendering is a plus.

Computer skills (Windows mainly) are a plus.
