Sports Producer/Multimedia Journalist

General Job Description:

ABC57 in South Bend, Indiana, is seeking an experienced Sports Multimedia Journalist who knows how to produce. This is an opportunity to cover the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish and enterprise great local stories. If you can produce compelling content, shoot pretty pictures and write without jargon, you need to apply.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Produce sports specials
Shoot your own stories and shoot for other talent
Enterprises great stories tied to Notre Dame and local sports
Strong live reporting skills a must!
Shoots video and still photos to illustrate stories.
Gives live reports from site of event or mobile broadcast unit.
Write and produce quality stories for multiple media platforms.
Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

Candidates must have the ability to tell great stories through words, pictures, and editing.
Must work well with people in a highly energetic environment.
Required to work early mornings or late night shifts.
The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, hard worker, and have a great attitude.
Computer literacy required including newsroom computer systems.
Videography and non-linear editing experience preferred.
Must have valid driver license and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
