Director of Marketing
About the job
Position Objectives:
To direct online marketing campaigns and help manage the Marketing Department and staff
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Supervise select online marketing staff and online marketing teams
• Develop, implement, and revise strategies for new marketing efforts and organizational priorities (including for web site content, online video, social media, and apps)
• Oversee the tracking and analysis of select online campaigns and initiatives
• Work with other marketing department managers (including for PETA’s PETA Latino and peta2 programs) on implementing initiatives and new strategies.
• Oversee research and analysis to support PETA’s marketing efforts
• Work with other PETA departments to collaborate on projects
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Vice President of Marketing
Qualifications:
• College degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of ten years of online marketing experience
• Minimum of five years of management experience
• Thorough understanding of complex marketing concepts and strategies
• Proven excellent project management, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
• Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
• Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle
• Willingness and ability to travel
• Support for PETA’s philosophy and ability to professionally advocate PETA’s positions on issues
• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
