Description:
As the Senior Project Manager of Creative Services, you will play a key role in managing the day to day operations of the internal creative team. You will take the lead in managing multiple cross-functional projects for the digital, retail, packaging & print teams. You will work directly with the VP of Creative to prioritize projects and work as the primary point of contact for all incoming creative requests. You will coordinate creative team resourcing, manage the approval processes and optimize resources and capacity for the creative department.

As part of your day, you will:

  • Work closely with the VP of Creative to manage creative team work flow.
  • Develop and implement a project management system to improve workflow for the internal creative team and oversee the onboarding for cross functional partners to utilize these systems.
  • Drive the execution of large brand campaign projects from conception to execution.
  • Manage project ticketing, prioritization, timelines, meetings notes, key milestones and delivery of production files for all creative projects.
  • Ensure creative briefs are complete and actionable with a clear understanding of project objectives.
  • Assist with scheduling and facilitating project meetings including kick-offs to campaigns and ongoing creative meetings surrounding project initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Creative and stakeholders to ensure all creative is consistently produced on-brand and of the highest quality.
  • Continually recommend work process improvements and support implementation with approval from management.
  • Coordinate daily creative scrums with all necessary stakeholders, consolidating feedback & ensuring team knows next steps and assign action items.
  • Create and maintain a digital asset management system.
  • Establish a network of talented designers and production artists to outsource creative work to as needed, including identifying and on-boarding new contractors.
  • Contract and manage vendors for any creative and production needs.
  • Maintain communication with internal and external personnel to ensure workflow.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations and run team meetings.
  • Proofread and review all production files prior to file release.
  • Scope out and monitor creative project budgets.

Education & Skills

  • 5-7+ years of experience in creative project management for an agency or in-house creative team.
  • Ability to manage multiple project deadlines and requirements simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • High-level understandings of the design and development process for digital, photography, content, video work, merchandising, packaging and print design.
  • Experience setting and managing project budgets.
  • Ability to implement processes with little direction.
  • Collaborative, detail oriented, analytical thinker who is able to quickly and calmly react to changing needs and deadlines.
  • Expert-level organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic proficiency of Adobe Suite
  • Expert level in Asana project management system or comparable project management software.
  • A proactive planner who isn’t afraid to ask probing questions for project clarity, anticipates potential roadblocks, and escalates project issues appropriately.
  • Quick learner that thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong relationship building skills, both with internal team and external partners
  • Highly detail oriented with a professional can-do attitude.
  • Knowledge of print production process.
