About the job

Looking for a strong Night Assistant Editor to join us on United Shades of America for CNN. Shift will start at 6pm. Applicants must be extremely proficient in AVID Media Composer (both in general usage as well as ability to troubleshoot). Knowledge of Excel is also required. Great communication skills are needed, as the night team will need to provide daily updates to multiple teams for proper handoff.

Responsibilities will include:
– Backing up and Ingesting Tapeless Footage
– Transcoding and Relinking to and from HD/SD Footage
– Syncing and Grouping
– Labeling and Sorting B Roll
– Importing and Organizing Music
– Exporting Internal and Network Cuts
– Uprezzing and Prepping episodes for Color Correction and Mix
– Exporting clips for out of house transcription
– Importing, cataloging, and organizing Archival Footage from many difference third party sources
