Position: Manager, Video Archive

Position Summary:
SiriusXM is developing its infrastructure for the management of its video archives and is seeking a hands on individual to assist with the commissioning, customization and operation of the video archive infrastructure. The Video Archive Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to customize and maintain the infrastructure and key workflows for the Multimedia Asset Management (MAM) HW/SW and associated infrastructure. This individual will also be responsible for working with internal and external partners to ensure video assets are correctly ingested into the system and are promptly made available for the video production team.

The Video Archive Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to customize and maintain the infrastructure and key workflows for the Multimedia Asset Management (MAM) HW/SW and associated infrastructure. This individual will also be responsible for working with internal and external partners to ensure video assets are correctly ingested into the system and are promptly made available for the video production team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish effective working relationships with key external HW and SW vendors to install, maintain and, as necessary, enhance the video archive infrastructure.
- Monitor the ongoing operation of the video archive infrastructure to ensure its optimal operation.
- Act as the initial point of escalation and issue resolution for any issues associated with the video archive infrastructure. Work with external system vendors to correct any issues in a timely fashion.
- Work with all of the users of the video archive infrastructure to ensure the system is effectively addressing their needs.
- Proactively provide training and implement workflow customizations to improve the operation of the video archive infrastructure.
- Work with internal teams and external vendors to ingest new video assets into the MAM and ensure the quality of the ingested video assets and associated metadata.
- Develop and maintain a disaster recovery strategy to ensure the long term security of the video assets and metadata.
- Perform recurring proactive system maintenance activities including ongoing backup and upgrades activities.
- Provide regular reports and maintain KPIs to inform management of the operation of the MAM system.
- Stay informed of industry activities related to video asset management and proactively provide input into the system evolution.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- IT, Computer Science or Engineering technical training.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience.

Technical Skills:
- Hands on experience in managing a MAM system in an active video production environment.
- Hands on experience with Adobe Prelude, Premiere and related software suites.
- Understanding of video encoding, transcoding and production technology.
- Understanding of disk, tape and cloud storage strategies.
- Understanding of video streaming delivery technology.
- Understanding of IP networking and switching infrastructure.
- Experience with interfacing to third party databases through standard ODBC and related technologies.
- Basic programming and scripting capabilities in Windows and Linux environments.
- Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
