- Solicit to potential music video and content directors (send music, bios, lyrics, photos, creative and financial specifications)
- Oversee concept development and budget for video production projects
- Collect, review and distribute video treatments internally and to artist management
- Assist in the awarding process and act as a liaison with director reps, producers and talent
- Research and Manage database of director reels
- Coordinate the production of in-house shoots
- Rent equipment and obtain insurance for in-house production shoots
- Gather materials for commercial spots and ad campaigns, help obtain approval from executives and oversee delivery specifications
- Act as point person to obtain B-roll crews for supplemental content
- Obtain for approval internal Video Recording Authorization paperwork. Obtain finance approval from management and copy business affairs with all paperwork
- Oversee contracting, payments to production companies, video insurance and audio packages
- Submit and keep track of invoices and payments, obtain approval for overages. Work closely with finance to obtain payment on contracted schedule
- Keep track of the video production budgets on each job
- Research potential creative ideas (camera techniques, reference film/photos)
- Arrange and get approval for travel for video shoots
- Oversee and coordinate special needs for videos (gathering sizes, food requests, instrument rental, etc.)
- Assist in the editorial and distribution of rough edits. Contact for the post-supervisor/producer for notes from label and management and overage costs incurred
- Maintain contact database (keep track of production companies, stylists, hair, make-up, editors, dp’s, etc.)
- Oversee project deliveries
Qualifications:
– 2-4 years in a creative/design/production related environment
– College degree preferred
– Strong mac and pc capabilities
– Adobe Premiere and related editing software knowledge preferred
– Knowledge of music video and film
– Strong people skills
– Audio/video technically competent
– Administrative aptitude required
