Position: Digital Asset Management Internship

The Digital Media Department is pleased to offer an undergraduate internship assisting with the organization, description, and management of digital photography and video used for curatorial, educational, and marketing/communications projects. Working with the Digital Asset Manager & Strategist, interns will learn about the life cycle of digital media in a museum setting. The preferred candidate should have an interest in managing digital photography and video at an organizational level. RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in projects defined by the Digital Asset Manager & Strategist
Organize photography and video from Marketing/Communications and Digital Media departments
Apply data entry/tagging specifications to digital assets
Develop and prototype digital asset workflows
Create written documentation for digital asset management workflows
Create video documentation/tutorials for digital asset management system and workflows LEARNING/TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
Develop an understanding of digital asset management career opportunities and required skills
Gain experience in best practices for managing digital photography and video
Learn to translate requirements into workable solutions
Develop abilities to create useful documentation
Gain experience working with digital asset management (Piction), desktop applications (Adobe Bridge, Lightroom), and content collaboration systems (Confluence/Jira). Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program related to digital media production, communications, or information science/management
Strong computer skills and confidence in learning new applications
Ability to work 20 hours/week
Interest in the enterprise-level management of digital media
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently; ability to take direction
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Bridge, Lightroom, Premier)
