Valid Florida Driver’s License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.

Supervises and participates in the technical work of the Video Production Section in the Training Division. Supervises permanent and light duty employees as well as several volunteers. Performs all functions of the Fire Rescue TV Producer/Director. Conducts research and attends seminars to stay abreast of changes in the industry. Work requires the exercise of significant amounts of judgement in budgeting, planning, scheduling, purchasing, time management and personnel supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification, including/supplemented by two (2) years of technical or vocational school/training in television broadcast equipment (must specify on application); minimum of two (2) years of experience managing a video production studio including one (1) year of experience in the supervisory aspects of the work.

PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH : News gathering; post production/video editing; producing/printing promotional graphic materials, photography, and graphic design; working with both internal and external customers; operating around emergency scenes. Also desirable: Associates degree in a related field, additional years of experience managing a video production facility including three (3) years of experience in the supervisory aspects of the work.
