Design Assistant

Job Summary

For over 15 years, Cabochon and Vintage Bath has been dedicated to creating an experience that caters to the visions and needs of our clients and their homes. Our showrooms offer an assortment of tile & stone, decorative plumbing, lighting, accessories and exclusively represent the luxury brand Waterworks.

The designer in this position will assist Senior Design Consultants in execution of projects and offer a supporting role on all aspects of the showroom. This position requires a motivated, self starter who thrives in a collaborative and creative environment with a strong sense of urgency and organization.

Responsibilities and Duties

True to the design field, not every day will be the same and our fast paced showroom will never leave a dull moment.

Our Design Assistant will complete such tasks as:

• CAD Drawings
• Specification & Material Selections
• Jobsite Visits & Site Measures
• Retail Accessory Sales
• Light Errands & Deliveries
• Inventory, Receiving & Procurement
• Administrative Duties
• Showroom Related Projects
• and so much more!

Candidates must be comfortable handling expensive fragile objects, climbing ladders and lifting heavy boxes as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will be confident and capable who is attentive to details with the ability to multi task. We are looking for you to be flexible and hardworking with the ability to follow through each task to completion.

We have a strong “learn as you go” environment, however the following qualifications are preferred:

• Plumbing and/or Tile Experience
• Completed or Enrolled in a Design Program
• Sales Experience in Design and/or Retail
• Proficient in CAD and Photoshop
• Customer Service and/or Project Management Experience
