Web Developer

Major Responsibilities:

Conduct web based applications development and implementation consistent with unit needs.

Maintain assigned applications providing resolution of issues in a timely manner

Maintain all required documentation related to unit web applications.

Provide direction and leadership for web related project assignments

Prepare project schedules and budgets.

Prepare formal and informal status reports and presentations.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Work Experience: Six to eight years job related experience

Certifications: N/A

Skills: This job requires advanced knowledge and skills in configuration and deployment of web applications including database design, web based scripting languages and web standards. Additionally, skills in project management, work leadership, presentation, customer service and problem solving are required.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Experience with Web accessibility standards including 508 compliance

Experience with theming and building modules for Drupal 6.0 and higher

Other Web, database, and multimedia specific tools including PHP, Flash, Final Cut Pro Studio, Adobe Illustrator

Proficient in Web standards, Web tracking and search engine optimization and familiarity with Google Analytics

Structured Query Language, Web development tools, procedural development tools, relational databases, structured programming, understanding of the software development life cycle

Content Management Systems

Other Web, database, and multimedia specific tools including HTML 5, XHTML, XML, CSS, Adobe Photoshop, RSS feeds, MySQL
