Position: Production Engineer – Audio

Audio Engineer candidate will serve as onsite support for live event audio and setup/strike of the venue between events and support live technical execution. Successful team members will have a diverse background as a live audio engineer, strong organizational skills, ability to work across multiple teams and cultures, demonstrate impeccable customer service, and be energetically driven to meet the needs of our customers and team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prompt, thorough, professional communication with team, Client, and business partners.
  • Proactively engage with Team to pursue process improvements.
  • Search out opportunities to help others improve skill sets and knowledge base.
  • Serve as lead technician for events with outside vendor support.
  • Technical consultant to Event Producers and Production Manager.
  • Scheduling and execution of system training and maintenance operations.

Pre-event:

  • Event setup and technical coordination of assigned systems.
  • Recommend technical resource scheduling for equipment and labor script.
  • Thorough testing of equipment use cases ahead of event.
  • Clear communication with all team members.

Event execution:

  • A1 or A2 audio services for assigned events.
  • Support and cross-training for audio, video, lighting, control systems and facility operations as needed.
  • Optimizing systems for the best quality attainable.
  • Technical direction of the audio team.
  • Dynamically flex to Client needs and complications.

Post-event:

  • Assist with strike of event space(s), ensuring correct equipment handling and storage.
  • Participate in post-event feedback discussions/surveys.

Basic Qualifications

  • Positive, team-minded attitude, willing to jump in anywhere.
  • Strong understanding of event AV and live event processes.
  • Very strong live and recording audio background.
  • Familiarity with Dante Audio network, and Q-sys DSPs.
  • Focused, organized and effective in stressful environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can professionally, effectively, directly engage at every level of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 year degree in audio or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency with video, lighting and staging systems.
  • Strong corporate productions background
