Summary:

Mortenson is currently seeking a Digital Content Specialist with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:
The Digital Content Specialist Partner with learning and development and communications team members to successfully develop various learning and communication solutions to support the success of Mortenson’s business imperatives. Specifically, responsible for the development and production of digital content including editing and producing video assets.

  • Shoot and edit video for interviews, online learning courses, social media initiatives, company events, and other video needs
  • Assemble video and audio in editing software, edit or add visual effects, sound effects, and render all video and audio for necessary delivery methods
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement innovative technical tools to enhance both formal and informal development via digital learning methods, provide strategic guidance based on assessment
  • Team to develop learning solutions utilizing appropriate medium/media, such as; webinars, custom e-learning courses, blended learning solutions, training bursts, videos, games, simulations, storyboards, scripts, screenshots, websites, and other digital learning solutions to execute high impact learning solutions
  • Advise on up to date, cutting-edge video methodology, mobile learning, and other technologies to develop learning solutions for use in appropriate situations to benefit the organization
  • Perform research on a broad array of topics to ensure educationally-sound content for learning solutions
  • Implement ways to increase learner engagement and participation, learning impact, and learner retention
  • Identify metrics and develop evaluation methodologies; analyze data and drive continuous improvement
  • Monitor project performance against targets and milestones, develop reporting to demonstrate the impact of learning, more than merely completion or utilization rates

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of four years of experience in audio and video recording, editing, and production
  • Team and customer service orientation with ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills including ability to troubleshoot
  • Strong work ethic; planning and organizational skills; demonstrates end-to-end accountability
  • Ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment, while remaining flexible and adapting to shifting business needs
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn complex software quickly
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines with high quality work

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in online instructional design, multi-media, video production, broadcasting, communication, or related field. Advanced degree preferred, but not required
