Social Media Manager
About the job
We are looking for a Social Media & Marketing lead to manage the day-to-day social media presence across SNARLED and its associated networks. The ideal candidate is a highly-motivated individual with experience developing and executing creative initiatives that drive audience development and engagement. This person will be responsible for providing strong creative and strategic thinking to engage an audience and sustain conversation about the brands.
Responsibilities:
*Manage the day-to-day social media channels including content publishing, performance analytics, and conversation monitoring across multiple brands and platforms
*Create and maintain the appropriate brand voice and write post copy associated with video content for each unique video network, ensuring consistency in style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimizing for engagement and user experience in all channels
*Utilize existing videos, imagery, and simple asset manipulation for social media postings
*Collaborate with broader creative teams on large campaign development and content creation
*Build and manage a SNARLED street team and all associated grassroots marketing efforts
*Bring culturally relevant conversation topics and emerging trends to the broader team
*Strategize opportunities to grow social audiences and build audience engagement
*Continually monitor and respond to social conversations utilizing social listening tools
*Curate and promote user-generated and relevant publisher content
*Maintain social media calendar and editorial calendar
*Create weekly activity and social media reports to track campaign effectiveness
Candidate Skills & Traits:
*Exceptional organizational behavior
*Strong people skills with the ability to relate to a variety of personalities
*Passion for all things media
*Hands-on or expert knowledge of all social platforms (FB, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and other platform that sent out only 100 invites for the closed beta)
*Intense curiosity (i.e. you’re always thinking about how things can be better and how to create the next big thing)
*Experience using social management tools such as Hootesuite, Sprout Social, Epoxy, and/or SocialFlow to schedule social media posts for release
*Self-starter with the confidence to act in smart, effective ways
*Strong problem-solving abilities
*Basic knowledge of production and editing a plus
*Proficient in PowerPoint/Keynote and Excel
*Strong communication skills with ability to present to senior executives
*Design (i.e. Photoshop) and editing skills a plus
*3+ years experience creating digital media content
*2+ years distributing and promoting content across social media
*Familiarity with digital business models
