About the Job

We are seeking an entry-level Assistant Sound Editor to join our team on a contractual basis, for a term of 6 months with a minimum commitment of 8 hours per week and up to 32 hours per week. Contract can be renewed or extended, with the potential to expand to a part-time or full-time position depending on how the role evolves.

In this role, you will be assigned projects under the supervision of a senior sound editor, performing various tasks, including but not limited to: engineering remote recording sessions, editing dialog and sound effects, audio restoration, addressing revisions, and quality control checks before delivery.

We are looking for a collaborative team player who can follow creative direction to craft compelling stories through sound, and has a critical ear for quality and detail. You must be organized, and be able to communicate effectively. You must be comfortable in a highly collaborative, deadline-driven environment.

You will be working across multiple media projects such as podcasts (both scripted and non-scripted), episodics, audiobooks, animated explainer videos, branded content, commercials, film, etc. The ideal candidate has their own DAW set-up with a strong and stable internet connection, and is experienced in Pro Tools.
