Associate Production Operations Manager (PlayStation Vue) (Overnight Shift)

San Mateo, CA

SNEI is seeking a logical, organized business operations production manager to work with a 24/7 content support team for Sony’s PlayStation Vue TV service. The successful candidate will have deep expertise in broadcast media and digital entertainment. With a big vision to run a 24/7 staff to manage high volumes of live production related activities, s/he will always put the customer first and consistently drive live issues to resolution/close.

Responsibilities:

  • Help to optimize a 24/7 content support staffing structure
  • Adhere to and work to augment a world-class service operations run book, with clearly defined SLAs and accountabilities between various teams
  • Run a repeatable support structure with consistently defined escalation paths
  • Manage day-to-day issue tickets and escalations
  • Manage day-to-day recurring content activities, including but not limited to live video feed monitoring and quality assurance
  • Contribute to run books, templates, documentation, and guidelines
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and deliver against challenging timelines with third party dependencies
  • Lead development of internal support delivery metrics and SLA adherence, and measure/monitor performance and drive consistency and improvement
  • This role also requires being on call.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • 5 years experience in broadcast/cable television network operations, video encoding, and/or digital distribution
  • 3 years in supervising and training a 24/7 support staff
  • Technical expertise in troubleshooting broadcast/video feed, video content, and e-commerce related issues and escalations.
  • Working knowledge in designing workflows and managing projects in JIRA
  • Process oriented with demonstrated desire for driving continuous improvement
  • Experience in implementing agile project management methodologies and best practices
  • Knowledge of, experience, and passion for video and entertainment

Desirable Qualifications

  • Rich experience within a global/pan regional company in online services, e-commerce, or Entertainment industry
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma process improvement methodologies is a plus
  • Project management certification (such as PMI/Agile) desirable
  • Previous management experience desirable
