Time Inc. Studios, Time Inc’s in-house studio production group, seeks a freelance A2/PA to join our Los Angeles operations team creating daily live and VOD content for People, Entertainment Weekly, Instant and other Time Inc. properties. This person will work directly with the Time Inc. Studios Technical Director and crew in support of several live and live to tape shows and pre-tapes at our LA/Brentwood location. This is a freelance position.

Responsibilities include:

• Mic guests as needed for live and as-live production
• Assist in the maintenance of audio equipment under the direction of the A1
• Communicate any issues or audio needs to the control room
• Move and organize furniture and set dec in studio prior and following shoots
• Updating shoot logs
• Other tasks as directed by the Technical Director and/or A1

Required Skills:

• 1+ years of studio production experience in a live environment
• Strong experience with a variety of microphones and the techniques to effectively record high quality sound
• Strong understanding of comms etiquette in a live environment
• Knowledge of audio consoles a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask and be proactive
• Desire to grow and learn new video technology
