Position: A/V Telecommunications Experts

Sub-Task 1: Visual Communication Control Center (VCCC) Support

Purpose: To maintain the day-to-day services of the VCCC help desk that supports the IVT and VTC networks.

Activities:

  • Assist and implement installations, configurations, programming, initialization of VTC systems and IVT classroom configurations.
  • Visually monitor all IVT broadcasts and satellite transmissions.
  • Monitor equipment down time and inform the appropriate contacts of status changes.
  • Support other vendors in the VCCC with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Develop daily/weekly operation status updates or reports on the IVT endpoints with tracking times.
  • Assist end users in problem solving until the equipment produces the desired trouble free reception.
  • Record all trouble calls in the Change, Asset and Problem Reporting System (CAPRS).
  • Maintain accurate VCCC telephony, CTC, and IVT inventory controls.
  • Validate testing of IVT and VTC equipment to ensure systems components are functioning normally.
  • Participate in disaster recovery support for emergency hardware requests.
  • Assist with snow emergencies notifications; storm related outages, and take corrective action mitigate with down time.

Deliverables:

  • The Contractor shall prepare and deliver daily operational reports on performance and activities by COB every Friday via email to the Task Manager.
  • The Contractor shall deliver daily operational reports, five-day trouble report by COB Fridays, and up time and security update reports, the first week of the following month to the Task Manager.

Sub-Task 2: Interactive Video Tele-training (IVT) Support

Purpose: Maintain the IVT network and support Tele-training on-site and at off-site locations.

Activities:

  • Coordinate and execute new IVT locations.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts with regard to complete infrastructure testing and validation of the owned networks as required.
  • Attend meetings with management as technical support.
  • Coordinate and maintain IVT network interfacing with the Division of Network Engineering (DNE) engineers.
  • Maintain accurate data for all IVT locations, including IP addresses and device information.
  • Work and maintain the SQL databases for inventory tracking of IVT related hardware, which includes tracking new installs, moves, changes so that accurate inventory counts.
  • Record all change requirements into CAPRS when supporting customers’ needs.

  • Assist in inventory management of VTC systems: 10 years
  • Configurations, programming, initializations of VTC systems, IVT classroom configurations: 10 years
  • Reporting analysis of the IVT, SSTV & VTC Networks: 10 years
  • Assisting with new installations and relocations: 10 years
  • Supporting IVT, SSTV, VTC and cable television: 10 years
  • Monitoring IVT broadcasts, satellite transmissions and equipment: 10 years
