Bogen Communications LLC, a longstanding leader in commercial audio and voice communications technology, celebrated the career of Vice President John Minnick on July 8, 2025, recognizing his lasting contributions to both the company and the broader audiovisual industry. As part of the celebration and in honor of his legacy of leadership and innovation the company announced the dedication of the John Minnick Engineering Center. The newly christened engineering center is based in the company’s Orlando office.
John joined Bogen 12 years ago as Vice President of Engineering. In his time with the company John initiated the development of new products that transformed Bogen’s technology portfolio and significantly enhanced its competitive position in the market. Under his leadership, Bogen’s Nyquist IP-based paging and intercom systems were developed and introduced. As a result of John’s efforts Nyquist grew rapidly, eventually outpacing legacy system sales and helping to establish Bogen Communications as a leader in IP-based audio solutions.
“John’s vision and leadership were instrumental in redefining our engineering strategy and implementation,” said Jonathan Guss, Chief Executive Officer at Bogen Communications LLC. “He assembled an innovative team that reimagined our intercom, paging and public address solutions. By creating software-centric platforms that operate over industry-standard IP networks John enabled faster development cycles, improved scalability, and solutions that are easier for integrators to deploy.”
Before his time at Bogen Communications, John’s accomplishments included the successful development of over 100 technology products across consumer, commercial and defense sectors. Over the course of a distinguished career John played pivotal roles in strategic partner development, intellectual property licensing, product and process cost reductions, and global manufacturing operations.
John’s contributions leave a lasting legacy at Bogen Communications and in the audiovisual industry. All of his colleagues at the company wish him the best in his retirement.
