The Manager, Film Production Finance is responsible for the financial aspects of film production for various projects throughout the lifecycle of the project (pre-production, production, post-production). The role will serve as one of the main contacts and liaisons between the Studio and each individual project assigned. Qualified candidate must be able to multi-task and balance priorities on competing initiatives.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Oversee production cashflow and budgeting processes during the pre-production phase
– Responsible for selecting and engaging freelance production accounting crew
– Perform weekly reviews of the production cost report to ensure estimate-to-complete and estimate final costs are an accurate representation on where film stands and ensure timely communication of potential savings or overruns
– Closely monitor the progress of the production to anticipate and resolve potential issues
– Provide weekly cash funding estimates for each production to internal finance reporting team
– Manage the tax incentives process (applications, audits, receipt tracking, etc.)
– Responsible for banking functions, including foreign currency purchases
– Ensure the productions are in compliance with Studio’s financial and operational policies and procedures
