Europalco, the largest provider of solutions for events and shows in Southern Europe, partnered with Knower Impact Meetings to deliver the groundbreaking AIVØLUT1ØN event—the first conference in Lisbon entirely dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI). Held in the Sala Tejo of the MEO Arena, the conference united business leaders, tech innovators, and AI enthusiasts, while Europalco’s advanced AV setup elevated the experience, transforming the event into a technological showcase.
Europalco’s expert team of 28 members meticulously designed and executed a complex audiovisual system, requiring two months of planning and preparation to meet the high-tech demands of the event. The company’s cutting-edge AV solutions were central to the event’s success, immersing attendees in a visually stunning and technologically advanced environment.
At the heart of the event was a stunning 25-meter curved main screen, complemented by a raised 4-meter circular screen at the center of the stage. This main display, combined with 24 meters of side projections, enveloped the audience in dynamic visual storytelling. Keynote presentations, AI-generated visuals, and live event content were displayed using high-powered projectors that created an engaging, immersive atmosphere.
Two Christie Boxer 30,000-lumen projectors and four 16,000-lumen projectors ensured sharp and vibrant image quality throughout the event. This powerful projection setup was managed by a Christie Spyder X80 processor and PVP server, seamlessly handling the event’s complex video feeds and live visual transitions.
Audio quality was crucial to the success of AIVØLUT1ØN, with Europalco deploying an L-Acoustics Kiva sound system, renowned for its clarity and precision. The venue’s acoustics were expertly managed to ensure that every word and sound was crisp and impactful, from keynote speeches to musical performances.
Lighting played a pivotal role in enhancing the event’s futuristic theme. Europalco installed an extensive lighting system, which included 14 mega point lights, 12 LED floodlights, 64 wash lights, and 8 BMFLs, all controlled by a state-of-the-art console. The lighting setup not only highlighted speakers and performances but also synchronized with the live visual projections, creating an immersive experience that reflected the cutting-edge nature of AI technology.
The complexity of AIVØLUT1ØN required flawless coordination between multiple AV elements. Europalco’s skilled technicians ensured that every component—from video processing to lighting effects—worked seamlessly together. Three cameras captured every moment of the event, with live feeds projected onto the screens, allowing all attendees to follow the action from any point in the venue.
The AV team’s ability to integrate multiple technologies into a cohesive visual and audio experience was key to maintaining the event’s high standards of production quality. Europalco’s meticulous planning and real-time execution ensured that the event proceeded without technical issues, setting a new benchmark for conferences of this nature.
The AV solutions not only facilitated the event’s logistical needs but also reflected the central theme of AI. From AI-generated visual content to dynamic projections, the event’s scenography underscored the creative and technological potential of artificial intelligence. Europalco’s integration of innovative AV tools enabled the event to mirror the futuristic vision of AI, both visually and conceptually.
Pedro Magalhães, CEO of Europalco, commented: “Our team took great pride in delivering an audiovisual experience that was not only technically flawless but also thematically aligned with the forward-thinking nature of AI. The success of AIVØLUT1ØN is a testament to the power of innovative AV solutions in creating immersive, high-impact events.”
