News Reporter – Part-time

We’re looking for a part-time newspaper reporter/photographer who writes clearly, can develop relationships with sources and has an ability to take initiative. Responsibilities will include writing, taking photos and video for the paper, posting content online and on social media.

Both experienced journalists and new journalists are welcome to apply. Writing samples and photos from college papers are welcome. We will offer training to the right person. The position requires some night and weekend hours, with some flexibility with the work schedule. The ideal candidate would be able to cover a variety of stories from news to features to sports. An interest or background in politics is a plus as is experience with digital platforms.
