Blizzard Entertainment’s award-winning story and franchise development team is charged with raising the company’s creative bar with each new effort. Their video and post production team wants to hire a video producer willing to embrace this challenge and help deliver consistently superior production on each project, every time.

The video and post production team handles all aspects of video production here at blizzard, including creative development, live action filming, gameplay capture, motion graphic creation, and editorial for a vast array of content. The team is also responsible for digital file conversions, photography, and post production for all cinematics created by Blizzard animation.

You will be responsible for establishing schedules, tracking project milestones, and budgets for all production activities. Communications skills are essential as you’ll be interfacing with a number of departments company-wide, coordinating with them to fulfill requests and gather assets. True to the nature of being a producer, you’ll need to wear multiple hats at all times. You will be working in a cohesive team environment that’s focused on tight schedules, creative problem solving, and, of course, meeting that aforementioned challenge of continually helping the team elevate their game.

Requirements

  • Must be experienced working within a video production environment, and familiar with file types and delivery specifications. Prior experience with various types of media is essential
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage logistics
  • Able to create and manage detailed schedules of all production initiatives
  • Able to execute production in a timely manner
  • Able to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment, and perform effectively under pressure of multiple deadlines and initiatives
  • Able to work independently and within directed initiatives
  • Experience in evaluating project viability against departmental resources
  • Able to maintain and work within approval pipeline
  • Experience creating budgets of various size and scope and executing within that budget
  • Able to build and maintain professional relationships and communications with game development teams
  • Proficient with MS Office programs, including MS Project

Pluses

  • A passion for video games and video game culture
  • Exceptional creative and business writing skills with demonstrated ability to take highly technical information and turn it into a clear understandable message
  • Working knowledge of AVID, Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • Able to work with various communications styles
  • Excellent teamwork skills with ability to maintain strong individual contributions
  • Experience with estimating job costs
  • Polished interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
