We are excited to announce that we currently have a position open for a Production Engineer , in our Engineering department, located in Burbank, California.

Candidates must be highly motivated, with superior work ethic and ability to adhere to strict delivery deadlines, with minimal direct supervision.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for supporting the day to day work within the facility, issue resolution, and interacting with other departments to ensure system are functioning correctly. Responsibilities

Administration of Windows, Linux, and OSX computers, including operating system, application software, and anti-virus.

Active Directory administration

Administration of cloud-based services

Perform installation, configuration and systems documentation for systems

Manage existing and deploy new StorNext SAN clients

Manage LTO Archive system(s), including Quantum Scalar and SpectraLogic libraries

Administer network switches, storage, VMWare server infrastructure, SQL and FileMaker databases, and user/system accounts.

Support digital media applications on Windows and MacOS workstations

Final Cut Pro, Vantage, Digital Rapids, Clipster, Pro Tools, Resolve, Media Composer

User support and troubleshooting

Research/test new applications for use within company

Evaluate business requirements and make recommendations on systems design and hardware purchases to fulfill business needs

Support other teams within the Engineering department

Desired Skills and Experience

3+ years of post-production or media distribution experience

Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server and desktop technologies

Understands production timeframes

Strong familiarity with file-based workflows

Experienced with Office 365 administration

Has strong knowledge of SMB and NFS file sharing protocols

Comfortable with command-line operation

Good understanding of data security

Experienced with Signiant and Aspera file transfer applications

Presentable to a client’s technical staff

Has solid knowledge of Ethernet infrastructure

Is experienced with Juniper JUNOS network operating system

Excellent communication and organizational skill with strong attention to detail

Knowledge of audio/video signal flows is a plus

Familiarity with SMPTE specs is a plus

Ability to write in Python or similar language is a plus
