Make an Impact by…

Assisting in the review and evaluation of new production technologies and devices and the preparation of any related reports

Participating in various production technology projects such as digital camera capture testing, including workflow tools to send content to post-production

Assisting in the maintenance and setup of test camera equipment including lenses and file storage equipment

Researching new technologies that may be relevant to the Studio using either company provided information or on-line sources, and preparing summaries of those technologies.

Experience with Avid, Final Cut Pro and/or Premiere

Organized and “future thinker” who is excited about technology

Detail oriented and willing to perform a lot of detailed work

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to efficiently and effectively document work

Interest in working in the Entertainment Industry, specifically with new technologies

Experience with Python

Experience with Unix shell scripting

Experience with After Effects, Nuke, Resolve, and knowledge of Color Image Science

Experience with digital camera technologies including camera offerings from Sony, RED, ARRI, and Canon, including storage, transport, and workflow methodologies

Experience/exposure to Film Production and/or Post-Production work

Working toward or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Film, Digital Media, and Engineering or related .

At least 18 years of age

Unrestricted work authorization

Available full time for 12 weeks from May/June through August/September

Ability to provide own relocation, housing and transportation. Position is located in Burbank, CA

The Production and Post-Production Technology Departments are tasked with providing technology solutions in support of Studio Production and Post-Production departments. Generally, projects fit into one of three categories:

Production technologies from camera and sound capture to pre-visualization technologies, including advanced technologies such as High Dynamic Range, High Frame Rate, and 3D

Post Production technologies including non-linear editing systems, finishing tools, transcoding technologies and archiving Workflow management to move data from capture and creation technologies through the entire digital filmmaking pipeline including the digital intermediate process and onto archival.

At least 18 years of age
