Responsibilities

Summary:

The NBC Local Integrated Media team is seeking a Quality Assurance Professional for its online and digital properties. This exciting role is part of a new team focusing on new Internet technologies and product development. We are looking for a strong team player, knowledgeable in online products (news sites, video, content management systems).The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for test case writing, executions on both new and existing products , project timeline management & upward metric communication.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Quality Assurance Professional 7+ Years’ Experience
  • Solid and proven background in Quality Assurance, Release Management and Requirement Analysis
  • Ability to analyze product specifications to create & execute test cases, report defects and track to closure within an Waterfall/Agile environment
  • Complete understanding of the SDLC
  • Ensures bugs are updated, and problems are driven to resolution, Cross-references change control tickets to Bugs or Enhancements
  • Experience in Test Plan creation and Test Summary Reports
  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with ticket management
  • Familiarity with content management systems, video, and complex user workflows
  • Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written): ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical coworkers.
  • Detail oriented and possess analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be willing to work in New York, NY
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

    Desired Characteristics

  • Working Knowledge of HP Quality Center (ALM) or similar
  • Hands on Knowledge of UFT not only record and playback
  • Basic understanding of HTML, FTP Services & Third Party Integrations
