Position: SOUND STAGE MANAGER

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall operation of audio and visual equipment at shows/venues. Some duties may differ based on assigned location:
- Operation of the audio and visual equipment at their assigned show/venue; operation of and monitoring of audio visual equipment while show is running (i.e. microphones, speakers, CD players, mixing consoles, equalizers, lighting boards, Efx machines, etc.)
- Sound engineering of indoor and outdoor shows using a variety of audio equipment and control systems by coordinating and timing video and sound cues; operate lighting control system and make live announcements when necessary
- Trouble-shoot sound and lighting problems and find solutions along with cast, crew, other technical staff, and management
- Maintain the cleanliness and good working condition of the shows sound and lighting equipment and related areas
- Reset sound props and show effects after each show and complete pre-show inspections before next show, and report any problems to technical services for repair
- Communicate problems and incidents professionally and objectively to management
- Promotes and provides extraordinary guest service to both internal and external guests; answers questions and offers information in a courteous manner
- Understand and demonstrate the proper use of safety practices and ensure department standards and safety policies for the Park are upheld
- Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a minimum of 3 years work experience in live mixing shows (NOT seeking candidates with studio mixing experience only)
- Must have strong knowledge of live sound, lighting and stagecraft
- Must have experience working with digital mixing consoles
- Must have excellent communications skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be fully available to work morning, and daytime, till very late evening hours; including weekdays, weekends, and holidays (i.e. 4th of July, Labor Day, Etc.)
- Must be comfortable working at high-level heights, and in the dark
- Must be able to carry up to 25 pounds frequently
- Must be able to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs frequently
- On-site tests will be administered for pre-qualification purposes
This is a seasonal, hourly, union position. No guarantee of number of hours. Hourly rate: $21.23
