Position: Videographer

Location: Boston MA US

We are seeking a part time Videographer who can work on site at our West Roxbury office three days a week. This person will work closely with our Creative Director and Account Managers to translate sales and marketing strategies into creatively engaging, high-production quality videos that deliver on our clients’ goals. This position is required to maintain a flexible work schedule in order to accommodate evening and weekend shifts and travel to locations for taping.

You Will Assist With :

  • Shooting and producing video for a variety of client requirements including sales promotions, special events, featured products and product launches to be used for web and social media content.
  • Collaborating on creative vision for video as part of integrated brand campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in managing pre-production responsibilities on assignments to ensure smooth production and quality of outcome.
  • Videotapes program material for production using video camera equipment; makes technical decisions regarding such elements as appropriate lighting, shooting angle and placement and type of microphone; receives explicit instructions regarding assignment from Creative Director and Account Manager.
  • Edits and assembles final visual/audio program material; ensures consistency and relevancy to production; monitors technical quality of end product.
  • Tests all equipment to determine technical quality of recording, audio and lighting apparatus prior to operation in the field.
  • Oversees the security, operation and maintenance of equipment utilized in shooting and editing.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Skill in visualizing and shooting concepts effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of social media content rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of in studio and in-field production techniques and standards
  • Knowledge of editing and post-production software including Adobe Premiere and Apple Final Cut
  • Ability to confidently present and explain concepts to colleagues
  • Ability to maintain and improve client and production standards
  • Ability to listen to feedback and use it to improve
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radio/TV, Film, Fine Arts or related
  • One year experience operating video cameras and editing equipment
