Position Title: Web Development Engineer II
Position Responsibilities:
Create page designs in standards-compliant HTML and CSS. Implement functionality in JavaScript (and JavaScript-based frameworks/libraries) and server-side languages/frameworks like Node.js, Java, Perl, and Python. Collaborate with product and design team to define information architecture, advocating Web interaction design best practices with a focus on consistency and usability. Work with back-end developers to create the best possible user experience and reduce the latency of page load. Interact with UX team and business users. Maintain and update existing websites/web-applications. Collaborate with business teams to understand customer issues and investigate, prototype and deliver new and innovative system solutions. Cultivate an Agile environment to deliver high quality software. Drive projects from start to finish with a team of junior web-developers.
Basic Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, Multimedia Studies or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, Multimedia Studies or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master’s degree and one year of experience. One year of experience in the job offered or related occupation must involve: use of cross-browser HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; use of server-side JavaScript, Perl, Python or Java; use of client-side JavaScript frameworks React, Angular, or Backbone; experience turning Photoshop designs into semantic W3C standard HTML templates; experience creating scalable, high performance JavaScript Web Applications.
