Well folks, the ballots are in, and the judges have scrutinized all the submitted products for the coveted 2015 Broadcast Beat Awards. The “Broadcast Beat Awards” are given to manufacturers at the 2015 NAB Show. Some of the judging criteria included Originality, improvement on existing technology, its inventive qualities, whether the technology was ground-breaking and advancement. There are three (3) “Products of the Year” one each in each of the main Broadcast Beat Categories of “Content Management,” “Content Delivery,” and “Content Creation.” In all other categories (Originality, Innovation, Creativity and Editor’s Choice), there are three winners each.
Each winner was selected from hundreds of submitted products.

PRODUCT: Thomson Video Network’s FUZE-1 Playout System

Thomson Video Networks announced the launch of the FUZE-1 Playout System in late March. FUZE-1 is a completely new paradigm that integrates traditional playout functions of a channel in a box (CiaB) with premium-quality encoding and transcoding for broadcast and OTT delivery. FUZE-1 is ideal as ad insertion, branding, disaster recovery, and EAS insertion.
