The Manufacturing Engineer will support and continuously improve the manufacturing processes including all MIG welding processes, equipment, tooling & fixturing, while incorporating Lean Manufacturing and Teaming principals along with a strong focus on safety & quality.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure manufacturing cells are producing quality products safely and on-time to the next cell or customer at an acceptable cost.

Develop and maintain weld processes for all welding work centers. Troubleshoot any weld related issues. Assist on new weld joint designs. Train new weld operators. Update welding equipment as needed.

Cell Leadership, Process, Tooling, & Fixturing problem solving. Operator training on best practices and promoting continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Productivity, On time delivery, & Employee Development

Identify areas for improvement and implement Lean Manufacturing principals to continually improve processes, equipment & practices.

Capital equipment and project implementations

EWR, Inquiry & Prototype tasks. Purchase items, request fixtures. Implement change and/or develop new process and procure the necessary items to meet the need.

Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Required Skill and Competencies;

Interfacing with a multitude of various personalities & attitudes and still maintain a professional demeanor. Can develop MIG welding processes, including WPS & WPQR documents.

Understands ASME standards & specifications, understands Non Destructive weld testing & metallurgy analysis.

Capable of troubleshooting all MIG welding processes.

Provide recommendations in weld joint designs.

Required Skill and Competencies;
