Position Summary:
We are looking for a talented studio engineer/editor to record and assemble footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting. He/she will also support creative processes and production and exercises both creative abilities and technical skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates in the production of the program.
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the program
- Input music, narrations, graphics, and effects.
- Create rough and final cuts.
- Prepare background video wall.
- Set up for live and pre-taped TV programs in the studio and remote production.
- Actively participate in the maintenance and configuration of all broadcast and streaming equipment.
- Assist technical studio operations including camera shading, video and audio routing and patching, remotes, audio mixing, coms, and tally routing.
- Actively participate in the support for video operations teams including root cause analysis and preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot technology issues as they arise through root cause analysis.
- Ensures that on-air product is up to broadcast standards before it leaves the studios.
- Monitors content for quality control and reports content error for correction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in TV, Film or Broadcast Production or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience at a TV station, studio or production house.
- Understanding of broadcast television and streaming technologies from studio and post-production to master control and distribution also required.
- Strong knowledge of production equipment including:
- Cameras
- Lights
- Switches
- Graphic generators
- Encoders
- Audio boards
- Other studio equipment
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages
- Premiere
- After Effects
- Lightroom
Requirements and General Skills:
- Highly detail oriented.
- Organized and professional, with the ability to prioritize and multitask, and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
