Position Summary:

We are looking for a talented studio engineer/editor to record and assemble footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting. He/she will also support creative processes and production and exercises both creative abilities and technical skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates in the production of the program.
  • Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the program
  • Input music, narrations, graphics, and effects.
  • Create rough and final cuts.
  • Prepare background video wall.
  • Set up for live and pre-taped TV programs in the studio and remote production.
  • Actively participate in the maintenance and configuration of all broadcast and streaming equipment.
  • Assist technical studio operations including camera shading, video and audio routing and patching, remotes, audio mixing, coms, and tally routing.
  • Actively participate in the support for video operations teams including root cause analysis and preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot technology issues as they arise through root cause analysis.
  • Ensures that on-air product is up to broadcast standards before it leaves the studios.
  • Monitors content for quality control and reports content error for correction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in TV, Film or Broadcast Production or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience at a TV station, studio or production house.
  • Understanding of broadcast television and streaming technologies from studio and post-production to master control and distribution also required.
  • Strong knowledge of production equipment including:
  • Cameras
  • Lights
  • Switches
  • Graphic generators
  • Encoders
  • Audio boards
  • Other studio equipment
  • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages
  • Premiere
  • After Effects
  • Lightroom

Requirements and General Skills:

  • Highly detail oriented.
  • Organized and professional, with the ability to prioritize and multitask, and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
