The Sr Director,Production Finance position will take the lead in shaping the overall production finance department’s policies and procedures as it relates to in-house productions. This includes implementing and overseeing consistent business practices and approach as it relates to process flow and internal controls; the position will also be responsible for developing and maintaining template budgets across all of the company s scripted in-house productions for one hour and half hour.
In addition, this position will manage the day to day Production Finance functions for tbs and TNT. This includes scripted in-house, licensed production. Main reponsibilities include preparation of show specific budgets (working closely with production executives), budget reviews, hiring and supervising production accountants, setting up and wrapping shows, evaluating and implementation of production tax credits and performing cost verification audits.This position requires advance and in depth industry knowledge with on the field experience.
Extensive knowledge of scripted programming including all union guild affiliations and union rule applications
A combination of 12+ years experience as a lead Production Accountant in scripted television and corporate production finance experience
– Extensive knowledge in Global Vista and Movie Magic softwares
– Profecient in excel and word
Extensive budgeting experience in scripted one hour and 1/2 hour productions
Desirable but not mandatory for Sr Director,Production Finance :
Corporate supervisory experience
Uncsripted/reality experience a plus
Education:
BS in Accounting or Finance preferred
