The qualifications for the Production Assistant include:
– BA/BS in journalism, communications or related discipline.
– Television/Broadcasting background is preferred.
– Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
– Strong writing skills.
– Able to juggle many tasks at once.
Duties:
The Production Assistant will assist the anchor and producer with research and coordination of guests for daily and future shows.
The Production Assistant will book guests and conduct pre-interviews, assist the anchor(s) with scripts, dubbing tapes, and other duties as needed.
– Search and edit videotapes under deadline.
– Assist in graphics and font coordination.
– Maintain tape library and coordinate tapes for playback.
