The project consists of partnering with the staff Production team and the Design Dept to rebuild our iPad and Android templates on a pixel-based grid, and developing a new look and user experience in parallel with the brand redesign in progress. This person would be on-site for 3-4 weeks in January and would be the point person for the hands-on construction of clean, usable style sheets and page templates in InDesign, as well as design and UE explorations as needed.
– Must have prior experience converting editorial tablet templates from points to pixels
– Must be expert user of InDesign, Woodwing and DPS with a solid sense of industry standards
– Extensive prior experience building and using style sheets and Woodwing/DPS interactive tools for tablets (iPad & Android)
– Have excellent visual and typographic sensitivity, as well as fanatical organizational and technical problem-solving skills
– Capable of taking initiative and working well within a team
– Available on-site through the month of January
