Position: Broadcast Production Engineer

This is an exciting and challenging project based role; perfect for Independent Contractors or those flexible with some weeks being part-time and others full-time plus.
The Multimedia Broadcast Production Engineer role supports systems and stages in a large production facility and is responsible for ensuring equipment connectivity and functionality in a live broadcast environment to support client projects including set up, troubleshooting and issue resolution. This person is responsible for hardware and network installation and removal, including ensuring technical equipment connectivity and functionality to meet client and project needs.
Key Qualifications:
Must be able to dive deep into troubleshooting whether the issue may be with a camera, network or fiber cable.
Must be able to read schematic drawings and build from the blueprints.
Must be very familiar and able to work with Audio and Video signal pathing beyond set-up (SDI)
Must be very tech savvy and very familiar with computer interfaces, networks and current software.
Must be familiar with multiple types of cameras and how to set up, color balance and match for production
Must have a technical grasp on the use of a switcher, computer demos, multi-view ports, troubleshooting VGA
Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service
Must have a sense of urgency and work well under pressure and deadlines
Must be familiar with lighting and production stage set-up
Must have extensive hands-on knowledge of the major audio, video, control and display product lines.
Audio/visual component training from technical education or previous experience in the industry.
Experienced in broadcast television production and corporate communications in a live environment.
Ability to provide creative solutions to technical issues.
Strong self-management skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across teams and with management.
Strong project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service to all clients to promote customer loyalty.
Provide technical support for AV, IT and broadcast systems at client site or as directed.
Supporting Live Streaming Events from set up to execution
Equipment set up and support including testing and ensuring functionality and connectivity.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical/connectivity issues.
Cleaning and keeping work areas organized and free from safety hazards and aesthetically pleasing; including keeping client areas clear of equipment and gear.
Assists with the design, engineering and maintenance of multimedia systems and infrastructure.
Document video equipment, configuration and operational procedures for reference.
