Audio Technician

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with the Television Audio Engineer in overseeing house audio.
  
• Sound check band and making sure system is ready for programs.
  
• Manage and operate house audio console and mix feed for preshow, talk show, events, and music.
  
• Mic and unmicing guest and talent.
  
• Work night services, church, and events and broadcast shows.
  
• Help with set up / teardown for events and broadcasts.
  
• Maintain sound set in place by the Audio Engineer.
  
• Attend band rehersals and creative meetings, as required.
  
• Work closely with singers and band members.
  
• Continue to improve overall sound quality.
  
• Have an overall understanding of video, music, set design, and safety protocols.
  
• Assist in post audio as needed.
  
• Keep the audio department inventory updated, order gear as needed, and stay up to speed with the latest equipment.
  
• Teach PA’s and media interns.

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in audio mixing music, events, and church.
  
• Excellent skills with programs such as Adobe Creative Cloud; Premier, Audition, Protocols 12.
  
• Knowledge on audio boards and sound equipment is a must.
  
• Strong technical project management fundamentals, technical program management.
  
• Outstanding organizational skills with an immaculate attention to detail.
  
• Must have the ability to endure long periods of sitting and standing.

Experience: 2+ years as an audio technician. Mixing audio for services, music, broadcast, and ENG productions. Experience in live productions preferred.

Wage: $11-13.50
