WCHS ABC 8 / WVAH FOX 11 are looking for a Part-Time Production Assistant for our Charleston studio. If you would like to learn the exciting business of television behind the scenes, this is the job for you!
Responsibilities Include:
Floor Directing for daily newscasts
Teleprompter for daily newscasts
Preparing Streaming Weathercasts for Internet
Recording various news segments from the studio
Cross-training OverDrive Operators
Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements Include:
Degree in Communications or related field OR one year of related work experience
Punctuality
Dependability
MUST be able to work any and all hours including nights, weekends and holidays
The ability to positively interact with a multitude of departments and individuals
Computer skills a plus
General Hours:
Monday – Friday (3 of the 5 days)
Saturday – Sunday (both days, approximately 6 hours per day)
You will be working approximately 30 hours or less per week.
