Photo Studio Intern

This intern will be responsible for working on and coordinating photography projects within Creative Services department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Major responsibilities of the internship position are listed below. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management.

• Positioning and operating professional lighting and camera equipment under the direction of photo team.
• Setting up and operating the computer to camera connection, and managing the digital files from the production.
• Coordinate with photo team members to receive detailed information for the assigned photograph(s), including crop size and desired image results.
• Review incoming files with photo team, then assess, qualify and problem-solve to achieve H&D’s desired results.
• Coordinate with photo team to obtain technical needs, including interface with the main studio server for file and image storage.
• Working towards a degree in Arts or Photography or related field.
• Junior level student (or above) currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• 0-1 year of photography related experience desired.
• Knowledge of Adobe Print Graphics Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
• Passionate about styling/photo production and eager to learn new skills
• Must be a self-starter with a strong sense of teamwork in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline driven environment
• Excellent organization and communication skills required
• Must have great attitude and be detail oriented
• Some lifting may be involved (capable of lifting 35 + lbs.)
• Have the ability to multi-task and strong problem solving skills
• Ability to identify and interpret photography needs and develop a plan to meet needs.
