Post Production Engineer

Responsibilities

Act as primary technical resource for editorial and post production users in department. Escalating issues as needed.

Supporting MacPro based edit stations including build-out, configuration and troubleshooting

Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on all related equipment, including LTO tape decks, capture and output hardware, broadcast monitors, mixers, 10GBe adapters, etc.

Implement new technologies and train staff members in proper use

Managing backups, improving work-flows and document post-production procedures

On-board new users including provisioning hardware and software

Managing departmental network users, groups, and permissions

Liaison with global IT team to represent departments technical interests

Provide on-the-spot training to end users on company systems and processes

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a post production environment

Deep understanding of Adobe CC (Premiere, After Effects, et al), Final Cut Pro, Avid

Extensive experience supporting and troubleshooting Mac OS X and related software

Knowledge of video formats, protocols and encoding standards

Basic understanding of networking technologies – switching, patching, VLANs,10GBe, SDI, fibre channel

Willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.

MAM support experience

Knowledge of one or more scripting languages
