Summary

This role will run and own entire Global Build and Release unit and have visibility to every feature/product. This means you will be:

• Challenged with the build and release automation of complex releases involving git and all the newest technologies
• The “gatekeeper” of code to find issues (before release)
• Own Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD)
• Highly impactful on leading the next innovative wave within Securly. We will be able to release thousands of RELs every second eventually with no quality drop.

Primary Job Tasks

• Build and Manage build and release automation infrastructure
• Responsible for all aspects of Configuration Management and Release Engineering activities
• Implement Continuous Integration via Jenkins & GitHub
• Automating process of new builds loaded onto the hardware/cloud infrastructure
• Manage tagging, branching, merging with developers
• Instill and maintain discipline around build and release operations, best-practices and protocols across entire development team
• Develop build and release infrastructure and reporting tools
• Manage and Maintain different Product environments (QA, demo, staging, production)

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Strong background in releasing software builds to a SaaS cloud (AWS)
• Strong background in continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
• Strong background in Git, as well as Git’s branching methodologies
• Strong background in scripting/automation languages such as Python, Shell Scripting
• Strong background in Linux/Unix systems
• Basic knowledge of configuring and maintaining databases (e.g Redis, Mysql)
• Strong knowledge of unit-testing, integration-testing and other quality-control processes and how they related to builds and release cycles
• Familiarity with ant, grunt, phpunit, selenium, protractor and other quality-control automation frameworks
• Creative problem-solver able to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
