DESCRIPTION
Successful CPG organization in Indianapolis is looking for a talented and qualified Video Content Creator with 3-5 years of professional experience. Responsible for planning, pre-production, producing, editing and releasing videos for various digital mediums including social media, web banners, websites, etc. Proficiency with professional photo/video cameras and editing software is required for this position as well as the ability to produce high-quality, creative, engaging and cutting-edge videos. The ideal candidate should have the ability to give meticulous attention to detail, while also maintaining the ability to see the bigger picture. The successful candidate will be able to work independently as well as within the context of a creative team. Reports directly to the Sr. Designer – Digital to develop and execute engaging and compelling video storytelling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Participate in creative planning and pre-production meetings pertaining to all video projects providing shooting options that best communicate core script concepts.
- Ability to receive direction from key stakeholders while working within a creative team environment.
- Plan and execute all aspects of video shooting including lighting and audio.
- Edit video footage into dynamic and compelling videos that communicate the personality and story of our brands.
- Execute details post-production including: audio, sfx, graphics and animation
- Provide final deliverables in a variety of formats appropriate for the various publishing platforms including social media, looping video screens, web banners, websites, etc.
- Identify new editing techniques to maximize efficiency.
- Learn and adhere to brand guidelines where available and provide input into creating video brand guidelines where needed.
- Organize and archive all video assets including raw footage as well as final deliverables.
- Provide input into required equipment purchase and rental needs for all video shoots.
- Research and implement new trends in equipment, shooting and editing techniques, and final deliverable methods that ensure we are on the leading edge of brand digital storytelling.
- Determine necessary production equipment. Operate and maintain proper levels and calibration of cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting, and other production equipment.
- Transport, set-up, and operate various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting, props, and microphones and assist with staging and set preparation.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years relevant video production experience.
- Strong video portfolio demonstrating filming, pre-production and post-production capabilities as well as creative production and expert storytelling skills.
- Self-starter who works well within a team environment, yet is able to work independently.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; able to shoot, edit, and produce high quality, compelling videos.
- Expertise in video production skills including video, audio and lighting.
- Proficient in the following equipment: DSLR video camera, studio lighting, audio equipment
- Proficient in the following software: Adobe Create Suite including: Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop, Media Encoder, and transcoding video footage.
- Proficient with motion graphics and design.
- Proficiency in color correction.
- Understanding of how to optimize video for various platforms.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Experience planning and executing on-site shooting including lighting and audio.
- Experience shooting and editing for national television advertising a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency with animation a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency working with video and animation in a 3D environment a plus.
- Understanding of and ability to shoot still photography a plus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years professional experience
- BA/BS in Communications, Video Production, Graphic Design, or similar
- Adobe Creative Suite: 3-5 years
- Motion Graphics and Titling: 3-5 years
- 3D Experience a Plus
